In the wake of the election, I think it is time to add some positive energy into an otherwise negative time. I’ve always felt at ease while listening to music, and I believe that music has the power to bring people together and create safe spaces where everyone can forget about their worries, if only for a little while.

I’ve created this playlist with the intention of spreading some peace. There are songs with messages of doing just that, quiet songs to allow for some gentle reflection, and there are songs that never fail to put a smile on the face of anyone listening to them.

Taken from a post I published on my personal Facebook page: “we still live in a democracy. We need to hold on to that as tightly as we can and come together as citizens of the United States. It is our right, the people’s right, to determine how our country will be run. It is not the decision of any one person and we need to make sure it never becomes a situation like that. We are so lucky to live in a democratic society, considering there are still nations that do not allow their people to have the rights that we do.”

No matter what is to come within the next four years, we need to remember to cut the negativity and only produce peaceful, loving, and accepting energies and spaces.
