5 Seconds of Summer’s popularity is growing every day, and it’s a really good feeling to be able to say “yeah, I knew of them before they were launched into stardom.” 5 Seconds of Summer is a pop-punk, Australian band made up of Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford. (4 of the most attractive boys ever-sorry had to have a tiny fangirl moment) I miraculously got into their sold out show back in April and let me tell you that it was a giant room filled with screaming girls and I was one of them.

The band has finally put out a full length, self titled album and I’m giddy about it. The album came out on the 22nd and I just got it and I’m listening to it for the first time as I am writing this post and the album is really great! It’s got all different types of sounds and the music is just wonderful.

There are 16 songs on the version of the album that I bought (I got it at Target) and all of them compliment each other nicely. There are songs that new for the fans such as Close as Strangers, there are songs that they debuted on tour like Amnesia (prepare to sing this one for hours…believe me) and songs that were only available on the bands original EPs like Heartbreak Girl.

I am extremely proud of these 4 guys for coming so far and living their dream. I wish only the best and tons of success for them in the future. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to the next post!
